My 2 Cents: Human Evolution & AI: A Symbiosis in the Long Run?

Is AI the next step in human evolution? If so, then you too can become a robot and live forever

Walter is back, and we’re Thinking Along with Walter once again. Refreshingly incisive and insightful, plus a fascinating writer, Walter Crismareanu takes us on a journey into human evolution and artificial intelligence (AI)

For the rest of us sans a Sleep Number Bed, it’s bipedalism, upright locomotion, back issues, and
“Oh what I’d give for a nice titanium spine!”

About Walter: Walter Crismareanu is an IT expert with 40 years of international experience in Europe, Asia and the USA. He worked as senior developer, development manager, technical project leader, trainer, designer and IT architect.

He also wrote several papers and books about the new IT technology regarding machine-based logic. He is the founder and CEO of Tipalo AI Technology GmbH, the Swiss company which develops the new technology. He speaks 5 languages and his main hobbies are ancient civilizations, philosophy and psychology.

“AI is still in its infancy, means it exists “only virtual” as software in some computer/cloud, but … once an AI has its own body, things will change very quickly.” —Walter Crismareanu

My 2 Cents: Human Evolution & AI – A Symbiosis in the Long Run?
“Person-engineering technologies will make it possible to accomplish in a matter of years what evolution would take thousands of millennia to achieve.” Mark Alan Walker

 Society & Technology
“In the present world, #technology drives everything. Our #biological #evolution, though, has come to a point where it can no longer keep up with the rate of change.

The most significant transformation in human evolution since the beginning of humanity will permanently alter who we are as a species. The next paradigm shift encompasses more than simply technology advancements.”

Analog vs. Digital
“A clock is a device used to measure and indicate time. Devices operating on several physical processes have been used over the millennia.

Analog clocks indicate time with a traditional clock face and moving hands. Digital clocks display a numeric representation of time.”

Superman
“Will this be the beginning of Superman? These are crazy questions for a crazy era in human history. One might, surveying the scene, believe that we are on the edge of the next step of evolution.

Professor Mark Alan Walker of New Mexico State University certainly thinks we are. He believes that the technological changes we are facing are so great that “The potential radical change of creating noetic beings overshadows all of the revolutions in human life combined.”

God-Like Beings
“Today we are at the cusp of our most profound crisis—what I call the “über crisis”. The antecedents of this crisis can be traced back at least to Heraclitus, one of the early Greek philosophers, who wrote,

“The wisest man will appear an ape in relation to God, both in wisdom and beauty and everything else.” —Heraclitus

Epilogue
“The question that remains unsolved at this time is whether AI and human intelligence will eventually arise, marking the next stage in the evolution of the human species and its distinctive brain.

The Human Race Will:
a. either embrace a new world of human/machine collaboration
b. or a future where people genuinely do transform into machines at this point.

My2Cents: There Will Be No Going Back
Things will accelerate at an incredible pace, especially after the mass adoption of fully #autonomous #cognitive #edgeai as a #self #thinking #entity with a #digital #brain with an Artificial Nervous System in body hardware equipped with sensors, actuators & organs.

This technology uses the analog features of our existence as the digital #implementation of the body and brain, while the connectome of all #neuromorphic #neural networks is the #software equivalent of the #mind, with #electricity being the only #energysource.
